It's a.......

BOY!!! We found out yesterday afternoon that we are having a boy on October 31st!! Jeremy was speechless (can you believe it?)!!! I am not sure it has completely sunk in just yet, but we are so excited to finally know. I also passed the sugar test with flying colors. The only bad thing yesterday was that my iron is critically low...not a good thing.

My Little John Deere

She just cracks me up!!

Abby did awesome with her life jacket on the boat, but for just a bit before we got in the water, she was able to leave it off. She felt like she won that battle. Little did she know we were backing up the boat into the water which meant....get that jacket on!!

Perhaps we have started driving a little early....

Getting Ready to Swim

This Summer we have spent a lot of time swimming in our pool. Abby is our official toy thrower. She likes to stand on the edge and throw toys in the pool.

And so it begins....

We have started potty training Abby this week. Yes, I realize she is only 17 months, however she initiated this whole process by showing interest so I thought we would give it a try. I never thought I would be so excited about her first time to go in her potty chair. I am also slightly embarassed to say I teared up and wanted to call every woman I know. Abby was/is so proud of herself however, now she wants to remove her diaper herself (ALL THE TIME). We are taking the approach of asking her every hour if she needs to go and taking a trip to the bathroom. I will keep you updated on the process (can you tell I am a proud momma?)

Remember...

Remember when she was too little to fit in this stroller? Where has the time gone?

My Little Monkey!!!

Abby is a climber for sure. Never a dull moment!

Effort requires funny faces.

All it took was one time for Abby to see another child climb her slide in the back yard and Abby was convinced she could do it herself!! What she wasn't prepared for was wet clothes means a faster slide!! She can now climb all the way to the top by herself and slide down with just a little help! I am proud, but it makes me sad that she is growing up so fast!!

Abby loves her swiming pool!

A frog bathing suit is only appropriate for Abby. She loves to swim and kick her feet! Going under the water is not her favorite, but I have no doubt we will be spending lots of time in the pool this summer!

Learning to Dress Myself...

Abby is doing something new every day. She is talking more and more and loves to dress and undress herself. Yesterday I came home to Abby only in a diaper. Jeremy just shrugged his shoulders only to say, "this is how I found her in her room." Her dress got a little wet from a drink so she went in her room and changed, but forgot to put anything else back on!!! It was kind of fun for her to run around with just a diaper on! In this picture as you can see we have mixed up where the shorts go, but I am so proud of her for trying!!!

Juicy Juice

Some things in life are more important - like Juicy Juice and Dorritos!! This weekend was a whirlwind of cookouts (four to be exact!) I am sure you noticed the HUGE strawberry (second one of the weekend) on Abby. She made enemies with the concrete. I am not sure who won, but Abby was a trooper. I know it hurt but after lots of loves from mema and poppy as well as mommy and daddy, it seemed to go away!

I just couldn't think of a good title for this one. Abby LOVED the moon walk. She would run and jump from side to side expecting kisses each time. She is so fun!

Monkee Business

If you notice Abby is driving with one hand and holding the hand of a monkey with the other. This can't be good!
