Friday night we had a family game night. Jeremy picked the first game of Kerplunk. For the record Abby
beat her Daddy two times right off the bat. She loved it!!

The kids love to be outside with us while we are working. They love helping but more importantly they love just being there. I love watching them play together. Hide and Seek or Cars are their favorite things to play right now.

This particular day they were playing hide and seek outside with us while we worked on clearing the land near the pond. One might ask, where would you hide in the woods when all of the leaves have fallen and you can see everywhere in all directions. Ethan figured it out. He squatted down and pulled his hate over his eyes and was very still. After all, if he can't see Abby, then she can't see him right? Precious. Abby played along and called for him and pretended like she couldn't find him. He couldn't hold it in and giggled ever so softly. When she finally "found" him, he screamed with excitement!!

After a wonderul time at a Cat in the Hat Birthday Party Abby and I decided to walk around downtown. She is so beautiful. I love her smile.

For the first time ever (that I can remember) Rose Bud played Football in Little Rock. That meant that my little Tristan (who is now driving which means I am OLD!) would be playing a game that I could attend!! Oh, how excited we all were to get to go to see Tristan's team play! And I might add that they won against the Arkansas Baptist Eagles! Whhhhooohhoo!! LOVE IT! My heart was a little torn because I have friends on both teams...however..family comes first !

While the game was going on, Ethan had a little game going on the sidelines. There was a little area where the other kids would play a little ball. One of the kids actually let Ethan wear his helmet! Ethan was none the wiser and believed it to be true that he was a REAL football player! It was so sweet because those boys treated him as one of their own. They would tell Ethan what to do and if it was his turn to tackle he would do his best and those boys would fall as if they had been hit by the biggest football player ever! Ethan loved it! I do believe I see some football in our future!! Needless to say he was out like a light that night...and dreamed of some Friday Night Lights! :)

This summer we have really enjoyed staying at Todd and Karen's lake house. Abby has just now (now that Summer is over) decided she likes the boat and even likes Daddy driving. She asks to go back every day! I love this pictures because it shows how much Todd loves our kids and how much Ethan loves him.

I know two little turkeys that got in the powdered doughnuts that morning. :)

For some odd reason I am wanting to learn to sew. I think it is the cheapness in me. I refuse to pay big prices for shirts like this. I am still very new at it so don't look to close!! I also learned how to can apple pie filling this weekend with Mom, Tristan and Poppy! I have never in my life seen so many apples. Thank goodness for the apple peeler, corer and slicer thingy! This is what our weekends and nights consists of. Swiming!! WE love it!! Now that Ethan has learned to swim I have noticed it is about winning with him. He wants to jump first or he wants to get to the stairs first. They have both come so far this year!! Last night Ethan and I went for a late night swim. Although the LOUD frogs scared him a bit...we still sang lots of songs and splashed each other. We laughed and laughed!! I see the moon and the moon sees you! :)

Summertime Bliss

The days are long and the kids are tired!! Ethan usually falls asleep before he even gets home! That makes me sad because I get so little time with him anyway (having to work!). Ethan LOVES his tent I got him for his bed. He said on the first morning, "mommy me go back to sleeep and take a nap".

Abby loves to sleep in a tent in the playroom. So far they have both slept through the night and if sleeping in tents is what does it...then tents it is!!

Abby had her first sleep over last Friday night. The girls had a blast. Let's see they went swimming, went swimming some more and got up the next morning asking to swim some more!!! Let's just say that the kids had no problem sleeping through the next night!!

For breakfast the next morning we had a crazy breakfast and the girls helped. Well two of them licked the spoons but that is helping!

It is official. My son LOVES to swim. It is the first thing he asks for when he gets up and the last thing he wants before going to bed. "Just one more swim mommy .....peeeze" Last night started off perfect. Ethan got up the nerve to go down the slide and jump off the tube. However, it was when he decided to change directions to head first MID WAY down the slide that things turned for the worst. Ethan hit his head on the side of the pool and man it hurt!! Not wanting to let Abby swim more than him he begged to go back out and swim some more. :)

This is our dive...he tucks his head down and off he goes. It is like slow motion but he comes up grinning!

I see the Olympics in his future...don't you?

So let me get this straight. Ethan goes to Mema and Poppy's house for a few days and he comes home a champion swimmer. Slightly thinking that mema might be stretching a little, we go swimming tonight for a test run. The first thing Ethan say is "Skoot back mamma me not neeet you" My first thought is Mr. I am your momma and at two you do not need me???? I move back just a bit and without holding his nose Ethan does a flip in the pool just like his big sis!! I was shocked. I helped him up for a breath but he swims on his own to the stairs. Let me say that prior to this magical weekend at Mema and Poppy's house Ethan couldn't swim a lick and he for sure wouldn't jump off the side. So the next thing Ethan says is "me dive momma". Are you kidding me? You guessed it. He marched right up and head first dove right in the water. My baby is growing up. I love you Ethan.

We absolutely had a blast at Bella's birthday party. Abby and Ethan love Bella and my life wouldn't be the same without Ms. Laurie!! I love this first picture because it shows just a little bit of how Ethan hugs. He squints his eyes and hugs with all of his heart and I LOVE IT!

Let me first say the temp was 75 degrees. Notice I am not in the pool...they are CRAZY!! But they had a blast!!

It is almost impossible to get Ethan to look at the camera these days!! And yes he was in his undies because this was a last minute decision to get in. I had to pull him kicking and screaming away from the pool. He was FREEZING!!

First Boat Ride!!

At the last minute today we decided to take the boat out. This is the first time in our new boat and we loved it!!! I was a little nervous at first (the whole backing up Jeremy's truck). Abby knows when I am scared or nervous and literally the child threw up on our new boat before we even got away from the dock. LOVELY. She was mortified. Once we were going she said, this is just like Mr. Todd's boat and started giggling and being herself again. We had such a great time. PB&J's, out on the water and being with my family...couldn't have been a better end to the weekend.

if we were not at Grandma Johnnies home and riding a horse. Life is good. Noramally we are at Uncle Alan's home but this year we went back to where we have all hunted eggs. Where we have all eaten lots of wonderful food and where our family knows that they are loved. Grandma Johnnie instilled in us much more than eggs and candy by that family is important but not as important than Jesus Christ. She prayed before every meal that we would know her Lord, before it was ever lasting too late. I believe that she smiled this afternoon as her family came together once again. I smiled as Abby and Ethan hunted eggs near that front porch much like I did many times. I even tried to take Jeremy and Ethan to the "snake hole" where we all learned to swim. As the years have gone by the trees and brush have grown up so much it is nearly impossible to get to now. What fun times though to climb down the bluffs to get to the snake hole to cool off in the summer. Not one single time that I am aware of did anyone get bit or see a snake for that matter. As the time goes by those memories become a part of me, a part of who I am and who I have become. I love that family is so important to us. I love that though we are all so very different and live very different lives, our family has a single thread that ties us all together and that would be Grandma. Thank you Grandma for teaching us to love each other and to love the Lord.

Perhaps I should have been a little more prepared. The only thing I had to use as the snowman's nose was a HOTDOG!! The funny thing was I guess an animal got hungry in the night and ate it. :) Note to self: Use a carrott next time.

We found out Sunday night that Ethan had the PINK EYE. We honestly thought it was allergies. So instead of being outside with daddy and Abby, he got to stay inside and stay warm!!

My Little Helper

Daddy left for a mission trip today and will be gone all weekend. Please pray for their
safety and that they time will be used wisely. Please pray that they have all the physical
resources they need to do the contruction needed on the church in Alabama.

At Abby's school the letter of the week is "P". They had a "Proud" jar they filled with marbles when the
teacher noticed them doing something that made them proud. Once it was filled the teachers have planned
a Pizza Party for them. The parents are bringing other foods that start with "P"...you are not going to believe all
the food that starts with the letter P. There will be so much food tomorrow. We made cupcakes with Pink and Purple sprinkles!!
There will also be popcorn, pickles, pudding, punch, pretzles and maybe some popcicles. CRAZY.

Abby did wonderful making the cupcakes. I measured everything and she poured everything in!

My first time cracking an egg was in front of my kindergarten class. I cracked the egg and in attempt to pour it in the bowl the egg landed in the floor. I was so embarassed. Not my Abby. She cracked the egg like a pro and in the bowl it went!!

CRAZY Weekend!!!

What a crazy but fun weekend!! Friday night we started off with
girls night out in Rose Bud. It was good to get out with my mom and
sisters in law. I have some great pictures on my iphone that I MUST post of
the evening.

Then off to Connor's Birthday! Abby has never bowled before but she
did pretty good!! They only had size 10 shoes and up so Abby just wore socks.
Oh, and she would have nothing less than a pink ball. :) Thanks Connor for a great
time!!

How did it happen that we have a four year old? Abby you are such a strong willed child. You are beautiful inside and out. You will one day be a leader. We had lots of friends over htis weekend. Abby loves Seth Porter "Three". Seth and his

Christmas Morning

It was so much more fun this year since Abby was actually
willing to let Santa in our house. Last year she refused to make cookies or
leave food for his reindeer. She didn't want a stranger in her house. I don't
blame her. This year was a little different.

Ethan LOVES trains and LOVES The Polar Express. It is so
adorable to hear him say ALL ABOARD!! Even though he does it
to pester his sister I love hearing him say it. When I say "I've Got IT" Ethan
says "Hot Chocolate" I could eat him up.

The toy of the season is a buble gun. He literally soaked the living room with the bubbles.

We have had a wonderful time at the State
Fair this year. Abby tried things this year that would freak her out last year!!

I simply couldn't believe she would do this jumping thing. It lifts you up just a bit..so you can jump and flip or whatever and she did!!! (Last year we paid for this ride and before she could get in the harness...she screamed to get out...and we couldn't get our money back!!) This year she was a champ and LOVED it!
